Actor Sivakumar is very well known to those who have watched tamil films. He is a multi-faceted personality who can not only act well in films he can also do painting very well. He is an accomplished professional painter. In recent times he has also shown how well accomplished he is when it comes to public speaking and motivational speaking. I have seen his speeches on various subjects and the one relating to women was very good.
He has taken a challenge to narrate Kamba Ramayanam in 2 hours and 20 minutes by selecting 100 songs from Kamba Ramayanam. Selecting 100 songs to narrate the entire story from start to finish by itself is a daunting task. He has not only chosen the 100 songs but he has also understood the songs, its meaning and has byhearted the whole thing. I saw the DVD and was mesmerised for 2 hours and 20 minutes. Normally I stop the DVD in between and continue after a day or two but this DVD I just could not resist watching fully as it was extraordinary. The delivery of the 100 songs, the meaning and explanation was superb. The narrative style is fabulous with modulation, emotion, facial expressions.
He has spent couple of years to read and master the epic Kamba Ramayanam. His memory is really making me wonder as he has memorised 100 different songs with lot of difficult words. He remembers all the songs and without any notes or power point presentation he is able to narrate the whole story of Ramayanam. This DVD is strongly recommended for all those who can read, write and speak Tamil. I have already watched it couple of times and would watch a few more dozen times in this lifetime.

As a painter he has created a beautiful piece of art where he so nonchalantly paints the picture of each character in Ramayanam and presents them through his non-stop speech which can be understood by all age groups of tamil speaking public in the world.
