I have seen Karnan as a school boy and later as a College Student. One of the best movies to have been ever made in Tamil Film Industry. This film was released in 1964 and is directed by Shri.B.R.Panthulu. It features the greatest actor of Tamil Cinema Shivaji Ganesan in the lead role. Shivaji Ganesan is supported in this film by N.T.Rama Rao, S.A.Asokan, Muthuraman, M.V.Rajamma, Savithri, Devika and several others.
The DTS version has been released recently in Tamil Nadu and the film is doing exceedingly well. The response is overwhelming and the theaters are packed with crowd for all the shows.
The music for this film was directed by the great duo M.S.Viswanathan & T.K.Ramamoorthy. Ullathil Nalla Ullam is a superb song rendered by Shri.Seergazhi Govindarajan. All the songs in this film are penned by Kannadasan.
Tamil Film Industry can be proud of some great achievements over the last 75 years and Karnan is certainly a classic example of the great achievements of the Tamil Film Industry.
